    • Clean and free from debris or foreign material

JUDGING SCALE:

  • Maturity and Quality: 40 points
  • Uniformity: 20 points
  • Purity (no weeds or contaminants): 20 points
  • Colour and Aroma: 20 points

Categories:

D1. Barley

  • 1 Quart – Ziplock or Jar per entry
  • Clean, uniform, fully mature grain

D2. Oats

  • 1 Quart – Ziplock or Jar per entry
  • Clean, plump, consistent sample

D3. Wheat

  • 1 Quart – Ziplock or Jar per entry
  • Uniform, well-cleaned sample

D4. Grass Hay

  • 12″ slice from a square bale, or equivalent from round bale
  • Bright green, leafy, and aromatic
  • Well-cured, clean, and leaf-heavy

D5. Mixed Hay

  • 12″ slice from a square bale, or equivalent from round bale
  • Mix of grass and legume species
  • Well-cured, clean, and leaf-heavy
